Mazda Cares about Safety

On Monday, November 22, 2021, my 20-year-old daughter, Erin, was driving home to Roanoke, Texas from Texas Tech University in Lubbock, Texas for the Thanksgiving holiday. Just after 3:00 PM CST, she was involved in a serious and terrifying car accident outside of Seymour, Texas.  Erin was driving her 2016 Mazda 3 Sport when she narrowly avoided a head-on collision with a Chevrolet Silverado truck.

Mazda CX-5 Dominates America's Toughest Crash Test

19 other SUVs struggled with the stricter test.

The Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) is notoriously strict when it comes to crash safety. That's why it's high praise for Mazda that the authority has declared the Mazda CX-5 as the only vehicle out of 20 small SUVs to earn its top "Good" rating in a new, stricter side crash test.
